How to Reach Your Full Potential

Blaming your genes for your health problems and challenges is simply taking the easy way out! Harsh? No! Scientist have proven that genes are responsible for ONLY 5 -20% of health problems. So, what makes up the other 80 – 95%? The answer is simple: you’re LIFESTYLE! Things that contribute to lifestyle include: the food you eat, how much water your drink each day, where you purchase your food, how much movement you get, medications, surgeries, cleaning supplies, amount of sunlight, vitamins, emotional wellbeing, personal space, stress, anxiety, quality of your relationships, and the list goes on!
Bruce Lipton, Ph.D says often, “Genes may load the gun, but your environment pulls the trigger.” This is a very powerful idea. Dr. Lipton’s work over the decades has proven that what you say, do, and think impacts your entire body on a neuro-biochemical level. So you may carry the gene for cancer, but this does not mean you will necessarily express it – develop cancer.
As a chiropractor I know that when there is interference in the nervous system caused by a spinal subluxation full genetic cannot and will not be reached. Subluxations over time lead to dis-ease (which is often asymptomatic), dysfunction, disease, and eventually cell death. The Western model intervention occurs usually between disease and death with the hopes of prolonging death by controlling symptoms like pain. Chiropractic on the other hand, champions intervention through spinal adjustment therefore relieving pressure and stress on the nervous system, before dis-ease occurs. For this reason alone it is critical to have your spine and nervous system checked, and adjusted when necessary, on a regular basis. This provides you with the ability to reach your own optimal potential in every aspect of your life and throughout your entire life.
