Thank You Santa Barbara

It is hard to believe that a week ago (Sunday, November 30) marked two years since I graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic and today is exactly two years since I moved down to Santa Barbara!
When I moved here, I really only knew Jacob and to see how far we have come it is truly amazing!
I want to thank my family, friends, colleagues, and most importantly our patients --- the Santa Barbara community for sharing in the vision of Genuine Chiropractic. As the practice turns 18 months this upcoming week it is so gratifying to know we have touched the lives of hundreds- perhaps thousands with the philosophy, science, and art of chiropractic.
My favorite part of practice is connecting with patients; inspiring each person to be the best, and most healthy, version of themselves. Teaching androlemodeling that health is an inside-out process and that each person has within them an ability to self-heal.
I love being a chiropractor, but more importantly I love serving others through open heart space communication.

Thank you—Have a beautiful Sunday

In gratitude,

Reflecting on 2014

Wow! Can you believe it is already December? This year as flown by!
With Thanksgiving last week and the holiday season in full force, we have had a lot of time to reflect on 2014. It is truly amazing that we are coming up on our 18 month anniversary for Genuine Chiropractic (December 12) and seeing how much the practice has grown.
GC started with us using our portable adjusting tables while renting space from another chiropractor (just 2 blocks from our current office) and we only were able to be in that space on Wednesdays (all day), Friday afternoon, and Saturday afternoon. Then, just over five months ago we moved into this beautiful space in the historical district of downtown Santa Barbara. It has been a beautiful journey and we are so grateful for the amazing, inspiring, and kind community we get to serve each and every day!
Thank you to all of our family member, friends, community partners, and especially patients for being part of this journey.
We look forward to serving you over the next few weeks of December and then on into the new year of 2015!

In gratitude,
Dr. Elizabeth Wisniewski

From Black Friday to Subluxation Tuesday

Black Friday – Small Business Saturday – Cyber Monday = Subluxation Tuesday!

With all of the over-eating, stress of the holidays in general, and running around to find the perfect gift you may find that you are a bit subluxated in  your spine. This may manifest as discomfort, dis-ease, dysfunction, stiffness, or even pain.
IT may be traumatic like picking up a heavy box improperly, fighting the crowds while shopping, stress from family or from being stuck in a traffic jam, or stuffing yourself with holiday treats.
There are so many ways that you may get subluxated it is important to get adjusted on a regular basis.
Regular chiropractic adjustments allow your body to adapt to stresses in your environment so that you are not always caught in that sympathetic (fight or flight) state. When your nervous system is in balance you can go into fight or flight when you need to but you are living in a “rest and digest” state more often than not. This is when healing takes place, on a cellular level.
Genuine Chiropractic is here to support you during the stresses of the holiday season but even more important we are here for you and your family throughout the year.
Do not let the month of December take over your life and cause you to get sick. Maintain your  chiropractic adjustment schedule, eat treats in moderation, get plenty of sleep, and enjoy this special time of the year.
