Take a sound bite of this...EAT REAl salt, sugar & fat!

The perpetual, contradictory sound bites the news media play may be negatively impacting the food choices you make tomorrow.
There has been much controversy and negative press around things like salt, sugar, and fat. The movement toward synthetic, processed versions of these basic substances has created disease and despair.
The good news is that these are all things you can change easily, beginning today! Not only will these choices taste better (because they are REAL food) plus, they are much healthier.

Salt:
Use Himalayan pink salt. It contains84 minerals instead of 2 – 4 like processed table salt. Switching to this salt will allow for proerelectrolite balance and better bodily function. It also tastes great! I like to drop a couple of crystals in my water to drink during my workouts.
Be careful when you are purchasing sea salt. Look for a gray color, basically not pure white! Avoiding white “foods” like white flour, white sugar, white rice, and white salt increases inflammation and decreases health.
Fat:
Switch to raw, cultured butter if you can! If raw butter it unavailable (check your farmers market) buy organic butter. There is nothing better than the taste of raw butter, anything less will taste like plastic after eating raw butter!
Coconut oil is another great option. Purchase cold pressed, organic options are best. Use this on your body like lotion, eat it raw, put it in coffee, cook and bake with it! The possibilities are endless.
Avocados are another great source of saturated fat. One way to use these is in smoothies. They create a creamy texture and provide many essential vitamins, minerals, and healthy fat to your diet.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil is great for salad dressings, low temperature cooking, and cold dishes. The fat profile will break down at higher temperatures so anything over 250 degrees F you should use coconut oil.
Nuts and seeds that are raw will provide healthy oils and fats. You can easily make your own nut butter, milks, and tasty foods. Avoid nuts that are not raw and covered in table salt and processed sugars.

Sugar:
There are SO many processed synthetic sugars on the market. Just avoid them is the best advice! They cause systemic inflammation and are a toxin to the nervous system.

Start today by adding one new things from each category. You inflammation will decrease and you will feel so much better! To read more of the science behind these principles visit www.mercola.com for up-to-date information.
